Beautifully restored 19th century 5 bed farmhouse with 1 bed gite & terraced pool visit http://www.cozes.co.uk This is officially the 2nd hottest part of France, it lies on the SW coast in between La Rochelle & Bordeaux. An acre of garden, bikes,golf clubs & tennis rackets to rent & surrounded by beautiful woods, sunflowers & vines ideal as an artists base too. The beaches of Meschers, St Georges & Royan are close by as are the safe children friendly estuary beaches of the Gironde. Fish, oysters, mussels, great wine grown in the surrounding fields and close to Royan, Saintes & Cognac.
Excellent acces to the historic village of Talmont & Roman site at Fa, the troglodite village at Meschers & amazing zoo at Palmyr.
Local markets every week and a full range of shops nearby at Cozes with local restaurant, butcher & bakers plus village shop within a bike ride.
The house has a fully fitted modern kitchen with 3 bathrooms in the main house & another in the gite. Fully tiled floors with TV,DVD,CD, in the large living room which overlooks the pool & rear garden with views to the fields beyond. Books toys & games for the children & a small library for the adults plus plenty of board games.The large 120 m2 poolside terrace is complete with both a vegetarian & carnivores BBQ as well as sunloungers 2 picnic tables & 12 chairs and a small rose garden.
