About the choir:
Didcot is situated in the Thames Valley, in the county of Oxfordshire, just south of the ancient city of Oxford. Didcot Choral Society has been active in the town since 1958, and after fifty years the choir continues to perform a range of high quality music throughout the year, playing a central role in the musical and cultural life of the area.
The choir has strong links with the local community and has recently been asked to provide musical accompaniment for advertisements featuring on local radio. The choir includes many talented and experienced singers, and soloists are frequently drawn from within the choir. The choir has collaborated extensively with local orchestras and players (including St Giles Orchestra and Isis Chamber Orchestra) and also many professional soloists.
Robert Legg joined the Society as Musical Director in 2003. Under his dynamic leadership, the choir continues to develop and move in new and exciting artistic directions.
