THEATER – STORYTELLING FOR CHILDREN
Age Group: 5-8 years
Language level: for English-speaking children
Children experiment with new characters and stories everyday, and in our Theater-Storytelling class, we aim to foster creativity by building on that natural element of play. After warming up with fun theater-games, we read or tell a story. The narrative and characters are then explored through movement, puppets, painting and crafts. With the materials created in class, as well as additional costumes and props, the children are then encouraged to act out or retell the story in their very own way.
This class was devised as an introduction to the art of storytelling. It helps to develop individual self-confidence and communication skills while also providing the experience of creativity through teamwork.
