BOOKINGS BEGIN APRIL 2010: Tucked away in South Normandy's tranquil Parc Naturel Regional du Perche, the Studio provides fully-equipped comfort on two floors with a rustic ambiance of wood beams and exposed stone walls. Formerly used as a stable, the ground floor covers 30 sq. meters and features original tile floors, a living room with "coloniale" fireplace, lots of books, vinyl record & tape player/AM-FM radio, piano, 2 easy chairs, day-bed, good light, plenty of table space and reading lamps. A graceful arched opening in the stone wall leads to an easy-to-use kitchen, bathroom (with tub/shower) and open circular stairs to upper bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, with 4-ring gas cooker/oven, quality pots, pans and dishware, as well as a large oak table. The bedroom (also 30 square meters floor space, with sloped ceilings and one low beam) has a double bed, 2 nightstands with reading lamps, two desks --the surface of one is a massive slab of ash wood (adjacent to the window), and a rocking chair looking over a leafy view toward the valley. Back downstairs, the Living Room has two sets of French doors, one opens to a 10-meter terrace looking toward a private forest and neighboring orchard. Convenient parking is adjacent. The Studio's fireplace heats the space well, supplemented by electric heaters if needed. Tenant pays metered electricity, linens are extra (add 25€), 100€ deposit on arrival.
