I'm Americain with arab Italien origin...I moved here 2 yrs ago with my french wife, although I have all IT technical qualifications for any job I have applied the doors still shut. Initially I applied for positions with my Arabic names but no one had ever call me for interview but when I changed my name on my resume phone calls start coming- until the day of the interview and they realize your name is of an Arabic decent there for they give you all the excuses on why they did not hire i.e “we decided to hire internally”…
One the companies I had trouble with is an service provider company called HELPLINE I went to the extent to accept the lowest position as Help desk but still they wouldn’t hire me.
The bottom line is that the French are very racist and diversity don’t really exist here.
